Match Report:

A disappointing first round in the GFA Cup for the tors today. We did not turn up from the outset and conceded from a header within 2 minutes. Torperdo then added a second headed goal. Tormarton then replied 30 seconds after with a goal from Matt Bajjada, Charlie Ross getting the assist. The tors picked up and played well for the next 10 minutes but then resumed a lacklustre performance, conceding one more headed goal before the half was up.

The second half came more disappointment for the Tors conceding 3 goals without reply. Time to focus on the league for the Tors after this disappointing showing in the cup.

Sam Jarman (Manager):

"Tough one today, really tough one. We weren't at the races today and i think the boys know that. On paper it looked a great team, but couldn't quite gel, get it right. There are a lot of frustrated boys tonight and I fully respect that.

We had two good results against Sea Mills that we could have looked at and been unlucky we didn't win and then we've turned up today and it's not gone our way.

Shoutout to Longy who kept us in the game at times, Brainer really put a great shift in, and Mason well done, you kept plugging away and trying to create things. Good goal from Matty Bajj, good scrappy goal, didn't give up. It was a free hit today, we've lost in the cup, it doesn't affect the league result. There's a lot of good people at this football club and i know we can get there but we need to start grafting lads.

It was a tough one at the office today. We regroup Monday night for a big effort. Training was class last Monday and cannot fault anyone of you that came."

Charlie Gregory (Player):

"Tough to take today lads, we were off the pace from minute 1. Frustrating day, but some positives I saw: Bajj's goal was well worked, and the 10 mins after that we worked hard and almost played our way back into it completely.

Second half, some of the high pressing was fantastic, and we made some great chances which we take on another day. Brainer's work up top was tireless, Longy's saves were top class, and Jack Hawkins battled all game in the middle. Heads up, move on, let's put the effort in on Monday night and on the pitch next week. UTT"

Charlie Ross (Player):

"No-one was anywhere near their best today! Gotta take the rough with the smooth. Better days will come for us."
